Chris Diller (he/him)

Founding Partner, Board Member, Tech Committee

Professional Background:

Chris is a Leadership Coach and Agilist with experience at multiple Fortune 500 companies. He began his career developing software in 2006, and held various roles including as an embedded software developer, project leader and ScrumMaster, but has jumped head-first into coaching since 2018.

Chris has a passion for helping individuals and teams “unleash their awesome” to increase their performance and deliver exceptional results. He has focused much of his coaching practice on teams and emerging leaders – those in the early stages of transitioning to a full-time management position – but has had a range of clients from vice presidents and directors, to teachers and personal trainers.

Chris currently holds the CSP-SM and CSP-PO certifications. He works towards continuously improving his own skills by attending local user groups, reading books and blogs from industry experts, listening to podcasts and attending webinars whenever possible. He served as a member of Scrum Alliance’s North American Gathering Team from 2017 – 2020, responsible for planning the program for the Global Scrum Gatherings.

Chris enjoys sailing, golfing, bowling, cheering for the Packers and, most of all, spending time with his wife and two young daughters. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and lives in the Twin Cities.

Why I’m part of CCO:

Chris believes that everyone can benefit from working with an executive coach and wants to increase the reach of coaching into more and more organizations. Having collaborated with many of the other CCO members in the past, he sees how CCO is uniquely positioned to tackle the current challenges organizations are facing today.

If we meet, you should ask me about:

Games. Chris loves games of all types – table-top and board games, especially, but card games and video games, too. He’s even given a presentation on using a board game to teach Agile concepts at multiple conferences and co-organizes a monthly Agile Games Meetup group.
